LA 2028 and beyond

The medal and the impact

What an olympic medal can give back to the community.

When this campaign succeeds, who do you become and what impact will you have?

Community

I’m not chasing LA 2028 just for myself. I’m doing it to pour back into the same kind of community that raised me. Sailing changed my life it gave me structure when home was complicated, mentors when I didn’t have a father around, and a healthy way to channel everything I was carrying. I want to build that same bridge for kids and adults in LA who might never touch a boat otherwise, and for athletes my age who think their window has already closed.

INSPIRE

I want to be a visible reminder to athletes my age that it’s not too late to go all in. A lot of us buried our dreams under careers, rent, and “being realistic,” and started telling ourselves that wanting more was immature or irresponsible. This campaign is my way of saying: you’re not done. You can come back to your sport, or start a new one, and chase something big with a grown‑up level of discipline and a kid level of belief. If I can line up on a home‑water Olympic start line after stepping away and building a life, then maybe it gives someone else permission to dust off their own dream and go after it too.
